We slept in a little late (9:00) and after a nice breakfast we took a cab to the big mall so I could look for a bathing suit, not realizing the most valued look and possession is "skinny jeans" and size 2. We found a great Mexican restaurant for lunch and then headed back to enjoy our room for the afternoon before going out to dinner at Gouchos. Our room overlooks the Bahia de Panama on the Pacific Ocean and we can see 40-50 ships lined up in the distance waiting their turns to go through the Canal. Each reservation has to be made 1 year in advance and once a ship is in line, it must stay in that position, even if it takes 3 days to pass through.

Hotel InterContinental Miramar Hotel lobby
Breakfast buffet every morning at the hotel-- coffee is incredible as is the fresh fruit!
Beautiful mall with skinny jeans everywhere!
Elections for everything is held all at one time every five years! How smart is that??
The architectural beauty is everywhere... Very tall buildings throughout the city
